There’s something about a novelty calendar that makes the rapidly fleeting nature of time a little less morose. What does it matter if yet another August is screaming by if you get to flip the page to a fat baby dressed as a bushel of apples on the 31st?
To cheer us as the days dribble past, South Korean illustrator and character designer Sungjae Kim (@sleeping_corgi on Instagram) has hand-sculpted a year’s worth of animal figurines from modeling clay to demarcate the disappearing months.
Checkout the seasonally-themed lineup below. From January to December, Kim has us covered with dogs, rabbits, monkeys, mice and crocodiles that mirror human emotions and help us pinpoint our place in space-time with Plasticine perkiness.
